Patricia Field Defends John Galliano: "But People in Fashion Don’t Recognize the Farce In It"

“People in fashion all they do is go and see John Galliano theater every season. That’s what he gives them. To me, this was the same except it wasn’t in a theater or in a movie,” she said. “John lives in theater. It’s theater. It’s farce. But people in fashion don’t recognize the farce in it. All of a sudden they don’t know him. But it’s OK when it’s Mel Brooks’ ‘The Producers’ singing Springtime for Hitler.”

Field said Galliano was “acting out a character.” She said she can not understand how people who come to his shows and are entertained by him season after season don’t recognize that the recent incidents were another form of theater.

“They don’t even see the farce in it. Fashion people who know him have not come forward. They know his theater,” she said. “Believe me — my name is Field — my stepfather was Jewish.”

Can't yall who condemn himthat quick, see that he is drunk and might be even stoned,plus that the people who filmed, "teased" or provoked him about him looking like Hitler with his little moustache?And that his response is just second degree humour and provocation in return to these people who purposefully filmed him because they knew he was drunk and would say stupid things. It's unfortunate, but they shamefully exploited the situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was february 24th when the video been made.And seriously now, this is just something we cant take guaranteed.Its just few words, cut otu from the context and its just reaction on the girls which were obviously full of shit...
